CPL24 Hoster for Windows Server 2016
Windows Server 2016 is now manageable
Since october this year, Windows Server 2016 is available. In addition to advantages such as the Hybrid Cloud feature, there are also potential pitfalls for data centers that want to switch to Windows Server 2016.
Especially the change of the license metric with the current OS can cause confusion. Unlike the previous metric, the physical cores of a server are now licensed and no longer the physical CPUs. A minimum of eight core licenses is required for each physical processor which can impact your monthly payment quite a bit. This also can lead to significant differences to the previous SPLA reporting.
In the latest version of CPL24- the CPL24 V2, this change is taken into account from now, so that the changeover to Windows Server 2016 will be possible without any audit security breaches.
